Bitcoin, XRP, & Ethereum: Three Top Coins On Brink Of Golden Cross

The cryptocurrency market is buzzing as Bitcoin, XRP, and Ethereum prepare to simultaneously form a 3-day golden cross. As each individual asset has only sometimes triggered this signal in the past, this is a very unusual occurrence. But this is the first occasion when all three big cryptocurrencies cross at once. What does the three-day golden cross actually represent, and what are the possible results?

Compared to past weeks, the crypto market's prognosis has improved recently. This positive transformation has been largely attributed to the efforts of organizations like BlackRock to introduce Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and the successful legal battles by XRP and Ripple against the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The technical environment is also indicating a potential rally, with a number of the biggest cryptocurrencies edging closer to a golden cross in the 3-day timeframe, which has historically been an extremely rare event.

For the first time in their histories, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP are poised to encounter this occurrence concurrently. These indications have shown at various points in prior bull markets, but a greater rise didn't start until all three coins experienced a golden cross. It's an exciting and maybe game-changing event that the top three crypto assets have their golden crosses converge at the same time.

When a lower timeframe moving average—typically a 50-period MA—crosses over a higher timeframe moving average—typically a 200-period MA—from below, it is known as a golden cross. A death cross, on the other hand, happens when the two moving averages cross downward from above.

In moving average-based trading systems, which seek to capture the majority of a trend, these crossovers produce buy or sell signals.

It's interesting to note that the buy signal produced by the golden cross has historically produced excellent returns with little risk. The signal only experienced a downturn in Bitcoin in 2019 and that was the lone exception. The simple moving average crossover yielded meaningful gains in every other case, though. For instance, the BTCUSD 3-day golden cross produced a ROI of over 2,000% in 2015 prior to the accompanying sell signal. XRP's golden cross held onto more than 9,000% of the gains made during the rally, however Ethereum's price history was insufficient to produce a signal.

An early buy signal that failed to materialize for Bitcoin in 2019 caused a protracted fall. But XRP and Ethereum did not start to indicate until 2020, when the entire crypto market started to surge. Before the ensuing death cross, the 2020 ETHUSD golden cross generated a return of nearly 1,100%. Despite not setting a new record high, XRP's golden cross still generated a 200% return on investment.

Even though the 2019 buy signal for bitcoin saw a decline, it ultimately turned out to be successful and had a 550% ROI when the death cross closed the account. When a golden cross appeared, an average ROI of 2,570% was seen when looking at the five previous purchase signals.

Although future returns might not be anticipated to be comparable, the evidence points to the validity of the golden cross signal.

The three cryptocurrencies Bitcoin, XRP, and Ethereum all simultaneously formed a 3-day golden cross; this was a big development in the cryptocurrency market. This unusual phenomenon has never happened before and might open the door for a more powerful rally. The golden cross signal has demonstrated profitability based on historical data, yet individual outcomes may differ. Those who are interested in cryptocurrencies will be closely watching these developments to see how the market reacts to this historic occurrence.
