In an unexpected turn of events, Bitcoin was deleted from the source code of Tesla's payment website, but Dogecoin remained. Tesla is an electric vehicle and sustainable energy firm. Given Tesla's prior participation with both cryptocurrencies, this most recent revelation has generated speculation among cryptocurrency fans. In the past, there have been claims in the cryptocurrency community that Tesla had included the source code for their payment page for both Bitcoin and Dogecoin. The two cryptocurrencies were eventually discovered to have been present in the source code as early as January 2023, though. Tesla appears to have left the necessary code in place despite previously ceasing to accept Bitcoin payments.
According @WuBlockchain
There were rumors in the community that Tesla added Bitcoin and Dogecoin to its payment page source code. However, upon verification, it was found that Bitcoin and Dogecoin were already present in the source code as early as January 2023. It appears that Tesla did not remove this code when they previously discontinued the option to pay with Bitcoin.
