Reason Why People lose money in Crypto
If done correctly, cryptocurrency trading is one of the best ways to make money today. People frequently lose to cryptocurrency because they attempt to do so without any Specific Strategy or Knowledge. We have given the RafTech Academy pupils six things to watch out for and the reasons why people lose money in order to help them succeed.
- The value plummets and you sell: Cryptocurrency prices fluctuate and are impacted by public opinion. Legally speaking, though, the only time you lose money on an investment is when you sell it for less than you paid for it. This is referred to as "crystallising your losses."
- Social Media Advice: As a favored medium for communication, social media has supplanted traditional media. Marketing would logically always employ these channels to stay up with the current information highway traffic. It is not a good idea to purchase coins based on "Tips" offered by ICOs or those trying to sell their coins to increase the value of what they currently hold. Therefore, everyone has the right to say, as you may have seen online, "My coin is better than yours. Buy this now before it attracts more attention and you might miss the train when prices increase." They are making an effort to create a "hype" that might go very badly. Always conduct your own research because you'll be paying for it. Social media should be avoided because of its unbiased reviews.
- FOMO: Ago the Bitcoin train has long since left the station, people are unsure of which of the cryptocurrencies will become the next big star. Today's society is mostly characterized by "Fear of Missing Out," or FOMO. As everyone is aware, BTC has grown to heights that no one could have predicted when it first began, which has left many individuals in awe and regretting their decision to put off buying BTC. When a coin's price increases, people tend to buy it when it is expensive out of concern that it won't decrease again, which heightens their anxiety over missing the opportunity in the future.
- No Precise Trading Strategy: The world of bitcoin trading is like jumping off the Empire State Building without a plan in place. You're not going to survive the fall.
- HODL: People who continue to hold bitcoin despite dropping market prices in the hope of a future recovery are known in the BTC community as "Retain on for dear life" holders. Most exchange/trading websites today include a feature called "Stop Loss" that enables you to restrict the loss of your assets by creating a "safety net" that would cut off your loss early and prevent it from bankrupting you. As long as you are not losing a lot of value, you can hold onto a coin through hard times, but if you bought it for a high price and are already losing a lot of money, you should let it go and not try to stop additional losses. As was previously mentioned, HODLing can be profitable if done correctly and the coin was bought for less than it is currently worth.
- Leverage – Not Understanding the Calculations and How Fast They Get Liquidated: It might be devastating to trade cryptocurrencies on margin or to use leverage. How does margin trading work? For instance, if you are trading with a leverage ratio of 20:1, you will make $20 profit if the price of your trade rises by $2; however, if your investment loses and the price falls by $2, you will also lose $20 rather than make it. A trade involving leverage is always expressed as a ratio; in the case of a leverage of 20:1, you might purchase assets worth $20 for merely $1 of initial cash.
The most often used maxim in the trading industry is "Never trade more than you can afford to lose." This leads to margin trading or the use of leverage crossing the line into betting or trading more than you can afford because you are already in debt when you accept the leverage. To put it another way, raising leverage both raises risk and potential revenue. Only seasoned traders who are aware of how volatile the bitcoin market is should use leveraged trading. Avoid using leveraged trading if you have any doubts about your trading abilities.
