Bitcoin at key point with BTC price at $28.8K — Bollinger Bands creator

Data from TradingView and Cointelegraph Markets Pro indicated that BTC/USD would reach $28,800 on Bitstamp.

Although traders promptly bought up earlier wicks below $28,600, Bitcoin still threatened to turn $29,000 into resistance for the day as they watched for a key support area.

While the Bitcoin market is correcting, Checkmate, lead on-chain analyst at Glassnode, stated in part of a Twitter analysis, "We still have the average transactor taking profits."

This, in my opinion, shows that more chips are still being removed from the table and that top purchasers have not yet flushed out completely (unlike in March).
When Bitcoin hit the $30,000 mark this month, Checkmate said he was waiting for realized losses to take control as a sign of "panic" from individuals who had purchased it at that time.
The Adjusted Spent Output Profit Ratio (aSOPR) metric, which reflects the total profit and loss of on-chain transactions, was displayed in an accompanying figure.
Analyst Matthew Hyland noted one-month lows in Bitcoin's relative strength index (RSI) on daily timescales, indicating that some more upbeat perspectives were still present.

A reset and subsequent reversion can indicate an inbound upswing, even though the RSI is still pretty high and provides information about how overbought or oversold BTC/USD is at a particular price level.

Jelle, a well-known trader and analyst, continued to monitor a BTC/USD copycat formation that closely resembled a price fractal from 2020.

This ultimately resulted to a pattern that has come to be known as "Bart Simpson": a spike upward, followed by a plateau and then pullback, before breaking out even higher later.

"So far, $28,800 has served as a bottom. If we can maintain this position for the next week or so, Jelle said, "I see us breaking $30,000 shortly after."

BTC's price has returned to its "logical place"
John Bollinger, the man of the Bollinger bands volatility indicator, has in the meantime advised caution since volatility has recently returned to the BTC/USD market.

Associated: Has Bitcoin been oversold or overbought? Bollinger Bands are a good tool for this.

He observed that Bitcoin had abandoned a breakout beyond its upper Bollinger band that day after reversing away from it.

"Bitcoin has just retreated below its previous breakthrough level and the middle of the Bollinger Band. This is where reasoning would lead one. It's Attention Time, he tweeted.
