Adamu Garba Alleges Foreign Influence Behind Protests Against Tinubu Administration

Former All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Adamu Garba, has alleged that the ongoing protests against President Bola Tinubu's administration are being orchestrated by enemies of Nigeria, including self-declared Biafra Prime Minister Simon Ekpa.

Garba claims that Ekpa and other foreign-based individuals hired certain influencers to incite unrest and take advantage of the current economic challenges in the country.

Allegations of Northern Influence

According to Garba, some influential figures from Northern Nigeria were recruited to exploit the economic situation as leverage against Tinubu’s administration. He posted on X:

"Someone like @simon_ekpa, who's taking sanctuary in a foreign land yet ordering and commanding the destruction of his fatherland, is one of the real sponsors of these rioters/'not genuine protesters.' They are sworn enemies of Nigeria. This is the greatest illegitimacy in terms of roots and birth."

He added:

"I know what I'm saying when I claim that the North was duped. These guys hired some influential people from the North to help them take advantage of the current economic crisis to undermine the Tinubu administration. Combine that with the reality that some bitter and jealous politicians view this as a chance to exact revenge on the administration for the defeat they suffered."

Call for Action Against Ekpa

Garba further suggested that if Finland refuses to extradite Simon Ekpa to Nigerian authorities for questioning, the country should reevaluate its diplomatic relationship with Finland.
